Anti-inflammatory – gut inflammation, nerve pain, joint pain, arthritis (pain and swelling – use in combination with other herbs)
Neuroprotective – (carbonic acid) improves memory and concentration, dementia, alzheimer’s disease (combine with sage and/or ginkgo)
Circulation – used for poor circulation (cold hands and feet) – cardiovascular support, lethargy, low blood pressure, errectile dysfunction, hair loss, stimulates digestion
Gastrointestinal – indigestion (use before large meal)
Rosemary is also antifungal and antibacterial (Pseudomonas, Staphylococcus). It protects liver, anti-cancer, and it is used as mouthwash for bad breath. It has the ability to make one more lively, happy and more enthusiastic. It repels bugs and it is great to use as pesticide (oil) in garden.
This herb was dedicated to Greek goddess of love Aphrodite. It was a symbol of love in Europe and in Germany brides used to wear it as wreath. It keeps the fire of love burning. It is symbol of partner’s loyalty. It has been also used as oracle plant during funerals.
Contraindications: high doses during pregnancy, elevated blood pressure
