Cough – expectorant helps with congestion (methyl eugenol – sedative action)
Wounds – antibacterial – apply paste to wounds and burns
Gi – promotes digestive tract by increasing bile production and neutralizes stomach acid (limonene), warming and calming
Diarrhea – primarily caused by bacteria or virus
Skin – bath, skin care products, sunburn
Calming – stress relief, antidepressant
It has an antiviral properties and can be used topically for herpes I & II, or fungus since it has anti-fungal abilities.
It has a licorice smell Use dry leaves and flowers for tea preparation. Use leaves (best before the flower buds open for the best flavor) to foods such as salad, cookies. It is also used as fragrant addition to parfumes.
